Preface
ELEMINOL JS-20 is a reactive anionic surfactant with a double bond in each molecule that has thecapability of radical polymerization, developed by using our surfactant technology.
This product is used as an emulsion-polymerization copolymerizable emulsifier, and is suitable forproducing soapless emulsion because of its excellent copolymerization with monomers and itsexcellent emulsifiability of these monomers, such as alkyl acrylate (or methacrylate).

Features
ELEMINOL JS-20 has the following features:
Exhibit excellent emulsifiability and copolymerizability when mixed with monomers, such as alkyl acrylate (or methacrylate). It should be noted that very few reactions occur between the ELEMINOL JS-20 molecules themselves.
Polymer emulsion produced using ELEMINOL JS-20 exhibits excellent mechanical stability and chemical stability because this product is introduced into the polymer molecules to form emulsion particles, and little or no emulsifier remains in the water (dispersion medium).Coating film formed by this polymer emulsion exhibits excellent adhesion and water resistance because the emulsifier does not migrate to the coating surface.
Application Methods
ELEMINOL JS-20 should be applied alone or together with other emulsifiers as an emulsifier for emulsion polymerization.
This product can be also used in the batch charging, the monomer dripping method, or the pre-emulsion method.
The amount to be used depends on the conditions of emulsion polymerization.
The standard mass (evaporated residue) of ELEMINOL JS-20 should be between 0.5 and 5 wt % to monomer mass.
